51 days and counting...

Well... plane ticket booked, paper work turned in, and some clothes have been bought. Since my last post, I have made head way in getting ready for my trip to Spain. The more I get closer in leaving, the more nervous I begin to get. How can I leave all these people behind for 5 weeks to travel to unknown place and not know anyone? I do know one thing, God will be right there with me through each step. He has gotten me this far, so I know it will be a worthwhile experience and life changing. My life since summer has started less than a week ago has already been a crazy one. I have had so much fun with the friends that have stayed in Starkville for a couple of days and I know when I leave for Granada I will miss these moments, but I am cherishing them as much as I can. My planner is looking pretty packed for the next couple of weeks, trying to fit each and everything in before I leave. Trying to spend time with family and friends closer to the time I leave will be difficult, but will be so worthwhile in the end.

The paper work that I have been working on has made me run around like a chicken with its head cut off this last week. The health clearance being the worst. I had to go to the health center at Mississippi State and show them paper work to just receive more paper work. After getting that load of paper work I had to call my old pediatrician (yes, i saw a pediatrician till I was 18 years old) to get all my immunization records. Finally, I had to wait on a fax to get my records and take the paper work back to the health center just to get an appointment made for a doctor to sign the rest of my paper work. PHEW! It's exhausting just telling about it now. But I am all cleared and ready to go! Got two shots in my arms, which are now so sore they hurt when I laugh and medicine if needed over there in Spain getting use to their living for the 5 weeks.

I have already made a trip to Columbus, MS, since starkville only has boutiques, to go shopping. 5 girls all piled in a car and headed there on Monday. We only went to Old Navy to find some light weight shirts and moderate shorts. It was a fun day going with some of my friends! Hopefully these shirts will be good in the hot weather I will be enduring.

I noticed last week that some pictures were left out of some special people and I could not figure out how to add them. How could I forget my wonderful friends from Kentucky who I practically grew up with! (Sorry Erica, Kendall, Lexi, and Lauren) and also here are some more pictures of what has been going on this last week and what is to come with my preparation!
